Karnataka CM Faces Inquiry in MUDA Land Allotment Case
In a separate case, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed his appearance before the Mysuru Lokayukta on November 6 regarding allegations in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land allotment case. The inquiry follows a court-mandated FIR filed on September 27, investigating irregularities in the allocation of 14 prime plots valued at ₹56 crore.
Controversy Surrounding MUDA’s Allocation
The controversy centers on claims that MUDA unlawfully allotted 14 prime plots to Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, in a coveted area of Mysuru. The allocations have raised concerns about potential misconduct in the land distribution process.
Continued Efforts to Address Misconduct
Both incidents underscore the importance of transparency and accountability in public administration. While the Lokayukta actively investigates corruption cases, these developments highlight the need for systemic reforms to curb unethical practices in governance.
