The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced a major opportunity for engineering and technology students across India—offering over 1 lakh free and paid internships through its AICTE Internship Portal. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry exposure, empowering students with hands-on experience in leading organizations.

Key Details

Under this program, students pursuing B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, and diploma courses can apply for internships across diverse sectors including AI, data analytics, IoT, renewable energy, cybersecurity, and software development. The internships are being offered in collaboration with top industry players such as Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, BSNL, and DRDO.

The internships will be available in both free and paid formats, depending on the company and role, and will include certificates of completion recognized by AICTE. Applications can be submitted via the official portal — internship.aicte-india.org.

Eligibility & Application Process

Students must register on the AICTE portal using their institution credentials. After verification, they can browse and apply for available opportunities. The selection process varies by company and may include online tests, interviews, or project-based evaluations.

Skill Development Focus

The AICTE’s initiative is part of the Skill India Mission and Digital India Vision, designed to prepare students for real-world challenges and improve employability. By collaborating with major companies, the program ensures that participants gain exposure to industry-grade technologies and practical problem-solving.

India Advocacy Insight

This move underscores India’s growing focus on industry-academia integration. By offering large-scale internships in future-ready domains, AICTE not only enhances technical education quality but also strengthens the digital talent pipeline essential for India’s tech-driven economy.
