The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is set to achieve a significant milestone with the inauguration of multiple Technology Centers, Extension Centers, and Development and Facilitation Offices across the nation. Union Minister for MSME, Narayan Rane, accompanied by officials, will lead the inauguration ceremony, highlighting the government’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Expanding Technological Infrastructure
Minister Rane will inaugurate three Technology Centers in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), and Imphal (Manipur), enhancing technological capabilities and support for MSMEs. Additionally, two Extension Centers in Karimnagar and Bhavanipatna (Odisha) will be remotely inaugurated, along with Development and Facilitation Offices in Dehradun (Uttarakhand) and Ladakh.
Showcasing MSME Contributions
An exhibition featuring products manufactured by MSMEs across various sectors will accompany the inauguration. Special stalls will highlight One District One Product (ODOP) offerings, displays by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), and showcases by the COIR Board. Dedicated spaces for incubators, women entrepreneurs, and SC/ST entrepreneurs will provide platforms for innovation and collaboration.
Empowering Entrepreneurs
The ceremony will witness the distribution of toolkits to 100 women entrepreneurs under the ODOP scheme, empowering them to excel in their fields. It will also spotlight the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, aimed at supporting artisans and craftspeople. An Experience Centre at the exhibition will raise awareness about the scheme’s trades and promote participation.
