You will need to fill in the required changes, upload supporting documents (if any, like a new address proof), pay the government fee, and submit the application. A DSC or Aadhaar e-sign is required for verification.
How to edit and renew IEC?
+Editing: Editing your IEC is the same as modifying it (as per the answer above).
Renewing: As per the latest DGFT guidelines, the IEC is issued with perpetual validity and does not require renewal. However, it is mandatory to update your IEC profile annually between April and June on the DGFT portal to ensure it remains active. Failure to do so can lead to deactivation.
Which DSC is required for the IEC code?
+A Class 2 or Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is required for IEC code applications and modifications. The DSC must be registered in the name of the proprietor, partner, or director of the company. Alternatively, the application can also be verified using Aadhaar-based e-Sign.
How can I print my IEC Certificate?
+Once you are logged into your DGFT account and have navigated to 'My IEC' (under IEC Profile Management), you will see an option to 'Print IEC'. Clicking this will generate a digital, signed copy of your IEC certificate in PDF format, which you can save and print.
What is the technical requirement for filing IEC Number?
+The primary technical requirements are a stable internet connection, a modern web browser (like Chrome or Firefox), a PAN-linked mobile number and email ID for OTPs, and scanned copies of your documents (PAN, Aadhaar, address proof, bank details) in the specified format (usually PDF or JPG).
Is IEC Number Required by Service Exporters?
